We collect information to provide and improve our personalized movie discovery and movie discussion features:

A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account Credentials: If you register or authenticate via Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we collect your unique identifier, display name, and email address (or your private Apple relay email).
• User Profile: Optional username, avatar image, and user bio.
• Watchlists & Preferences: The titles you bookmark, add to your favorites, or rate.
• AI Chat Queries: Prompt messages you send to the AI Concierge to receive movie recommendations.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating-system version (iOS, iPadOS, macOS, or tvOS), app version, and preferred language/region to deliver accurate streaming-provider availability.
• Diagnostics & Crash Reports: Anonymous technical telemetry to debug application crashes and improve performance.
• Purchase Data: Apple StoreKit receipts and transaction IDs to verify subscription entitlements (WhatFlixx Pro). We never see or store your credit card details; all financial transactions are processed directly by Apple.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:

• To personalize movie, actor, and soundtrack recommendations tailored to your tastes.
• To support movie discussions and shared watchlists with your selected friends.
• To display accurate streaming provider availability for your country/storefront.
• To sync your account, credits, watchlists, favorites, and history across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.
• To verify and maintain your WhatFlixx Pro subscription status.
• To respond to customer support inquiries and troubleshoot issues.

4. AI & Generative Recommendations

When you query our AI Movie Concierge, your prompts and contextual movie preference tokens are processed securely. Prompts are used only to generate real-time recommendations. Your queries are not used to train public foundation models, and we do not sell your conversational data.

5. Third-Party Services & Data Processors

We partner with trusted third-party providers to operate our app:

• The Movie Database (TMDB): We query TMDB for public movie metadata, posters, cast information, and watch providers. No personal user data is sent to TMDB.
• Apple StoreKit & In-App Purchases: Handles all subscription payments, renewals, and receipt validation. Subject to the Apple Privacy Policy.
• Cloud Firestore / Firebase: Secure cloud infrastructure used for user profile synchronization and movie discussions and shared watchlists. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account remains active. In accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), you have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:

• Inside the App: Go to Settings > Profile > Delete Account. Confirming this action will immediately and irreversibly delete your profile, watchlists, ratings, and cloud records.
• Via Web: You can submit an account and data wipe request at our Account Deletion Portal.

7. Security of Your Information

We implement industry-standard encryption standards (TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest) to safeguard your data. While no transmission method over the internet is 100% impenetrable, we actively monitor our infrastructure to prevent unauthorized access.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can immediately delete such records.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and providing in-app notifications where appropriate.
